This website showcases a selection of travel photos I've taken from the last 10 years.

I designed and built this website in the summer of 2020.

Homepage and layout

I wanted the focus to be on the photography, so I went for a minimalist design with a rotating homepage slideshow which highlights a different image from each of the categories.

Navigation

Within each category the photography continues to take centre stage, and you can navigate between each image in the slider in a number of different ways.

Cursor prompts

Depending where you move your mouse over the image, the cursor changes to indicate the action when you click.

Galleries

Clicking in the centre of the image allows you to easily navigate to the gallery page with a smooth, elegant animation.

World Map

Every photo is tagged with a different location which I grouped into countries and displayed on an interactive map, so you can see where in the globe each picture was taken.

Mobile experience

The website was designed with mobile first in mind, so the images load quickly, the homepage slideshow changes shape to fill the screen and you can intuitively navigate the sliders by swiping.
